Thea’s first quilt show is literally coming apart at the seams!

Thea James has accepted an assignment as co-chairperson for Larkindale’s first quilt show extravaganza. Juggling the new assignment with running her antique business, she’s already feeling frayed when things start to unravel. Mary-Alice Wentworth, a much-loved town matriarch, respected quilt judge, and Thea’s dear friend, is covertly conked on the head during the kick-off Quilt Show Soiree, throwing suspicion on her guests. It also appears that a valuable diamond brooch has been stolen during the attack. The family is furious. But is it because of their mugged mother or the missing diamonds? When a renowned textile expert goes MIA and the famous Wentworth heritage quilt disappears, Larkindale’s reputation as a tourist haven is at risk. Thea attempts to piece the mystery together and save the town’s investment in the quilt show before Mary-Alice is attacked again . . . with far worse results.

About the Author:
Author and speaker Cathy Elliott nourishes her night-owl habit by creating cozy mysteries and more on her trusty laptop in Anderson, California. Like the protagonist in her new mystery, Cathy is an avid quilter. Besides collecting (too much) cool fabric, she also enjoys hunting for antique treasures.

Yet when Maybelle discovers that the quilt is made from scraps of material that can be traced back through her family heritage, the project is suddenly much more important. Then word comes that Holden is missing in action, and with little else to do, Maybelle clings to the quilt as much as to the hope that her husband is still alive.

Layers of hope and prayers may not be strong enough to cover the wounds of war.

Cordelia Grace watched Bernard Howard, the love of her young life, go off to fight for our country in WWII. And she has spent the last three years creating the Pine Cone quilt that will grace their marriage bed when he comes home. Each row of triangles signifies a layer in her life, sets of memories, hopes, dreams, and prayers for her future, enough spoken words to cover them forever. Her image of their “happy-ever-after” grows proportionally as the quilt expands.

But is the man that returns from the war, the same man that she remembered? Are the dark shades of color that she had to use for the outside edges of the beloved quilt prophetic of her life to come? Can love and faith overcome all?

When unspeakable tragedy leaves young Eli an orphan, two families are devastated. But Taylor, Eli’s aunt and legal guardian, vows to help him remember his parents by creating a Memory Quilt.

As she begins piecing together the moments of his parents’ lives, the story of the young family emerges and Taylor and Eli begin to heal. But Eli’s uncle Reece is slow to let go of the past and still blames Taylor’s brother for his sister’s death. So, although he has long been attracted to Taylor, Reece keeps a safe distance away.

Can their shared love for Eli pave the way to forgiveness or will Taylor and Reece be separated by pain?

A quilt, a secret message, a dog, and a possible treasure make for an unforgettable Christmas!

Upon her grandmother’s death, Izzy Fontaine finds herself in possession of a Wild Goose Chase pattern quilt that supposedly leads to a great treasure.

Of course, once the rest of the family finds out about the “treasure map,” they’re determined to have a go at the treasure themselves. And, if that weren’t enough, Max Logan, a local museum curator, contacts Izzy and says that Grandma Isabella promised him the quilt.

What is it about this quilt that makes everyone want it? Is Izzy on a wild goose chase of her own, or a journey that will lead her to the treasure her grandmother intended?

When tragedy strikes a community, lives–and hearts–are changed forever.

After a tornado rips through her town, store owner Abigail comes across a piece of fabric from a wedding dress among the devastation. Abigail is moved to start collecting other swatches of fabric she finds – her neighbor’s kitchen curtains, a man’s necktie, a dog’s bed – which she stashes in shopping bags. As she pursues her seemingly absurd quest, horrible realities spark the question, “What kind of a God would allow such tragedy?”

As she struggles to reconcile her right to happiness amidst the destruction, Abigail begins piecing together a patchwork quilt from the salvaged fabric in hopes it will bring some peace. But a new relationship with Justin, a contractor, may require too much of her fragile heart. Will her pain and questions of faith give way to the courage to love?

  1. I never read any Quilts of Love novels, but these are the ones that most appeal to me (in no particular order):
Swept Away by Laura V. Hilton & Cindy Loven
Quilted By Christmas by Jodie Bailey
Hidden in the Stars by Robin Caroll
A Stitch and a Prayer by Eva Gibson
A Promise in Pieces by Emily T. Wierenga
A Sky Without Stars by Linda S. Clare
The Christmas Quilt by Vannetta Chapman
Pieces of the Heart by Bonnie S. Calhoun
A Heartbeat Away by S. Dionne Moore
For Love of Eli by Loree Lough

  2. I’ve read Swept Away and The Christmas Quilt. I loved them! While I want to read them all, here are a few of the ones I’d really like to read.

    Quilted By Christmas
    Hidden in the Stars
    A Stitch and a Prayer
    A Promise in Pieces
    A Sky Without Stars
    Pieces of the Heart
    A Heartbeat Away
    For Love of Eli
    Raw Edges
    A Healing Heart

  3. I own “A Stitch and a Prayer” it’s on my tbr pile. As a military veteran “A Promise in Pieces” sounds especially interesting. “Path of Freedom” appeals to me because of the Civil War history it could hold.

  4. I haven’t had the chance to read the series yet but I am looking for some great Christmas reads and would love to start with Quilted by Christmas or The Christmas Quilt. Thank you so much for the giveaway! 🙂

Happy Holy Days to You and Yours!

  6. I want to read all of them. I have read one and it was “Swept Away” by Laura V. Hilton and Cindy Loven. It was a fantastic book, but I would love to read the rest of the collection.

  7. I would love to read them all. I am an admirer of all things quilted. I have a few special quilts made by family members and friends. I have been collecting quilting books for quite a while. I know just enough to appreciate the labor involved. I love learning the stories behind the quilts.

  8. I regret that I have not read any of them yet and I would love to read them all, but my favorites would be:
    A Stitch In Crime
    Scraps Of Evidence
    Tempest’s Course
    A Heartbeat Away
    Path Of Freedom

  9. I want to read them all but choosing one would be Masterpiece Marriage because it is historical and I love reading that type…thanks for the giveaway…Merry Christmas.

  10. I have only discovered this series very recently and have not yet read any of the books. Looking forward to reading the series at my leisure. It could take me some time to complete this project.

  11. I am sorry to say that I haven’t read any of this series yet, but they all sound wonderful. I will have to rectify that. It would be wonderful to win the entire series. But if I had to choose, I would start at the beginning. I love Christmas stories, so I would definitely read A Wild Goose Chase Christmas.

  12. I’ve read a few (Aloha Rose, The Christmas Quilt & Tempest’s Course). I would love the chance to read more, especially Beyond the Storm. That one sounds really interesting!

  13. I have just happened upon this collection recently and hope to one day read them all, but the ones that sound the most interesting to me are Beyond the storm, The Christmas Quilt, Scraps of Evidence, Hidden in the Stars, quilted by Christmas and a stitch in crime.

  14. What a wonderful prize. Whomever wins the complete bundle will surely be one happy and inspired reader. I know I would be.

Favorite book? Difficult to say as everyone that I have ready has been a delightful read. But I think A Promise in Pieces by Emily T. Wierenga would probably be the one I’d most recommend for someone to read that has not yet read a Quilts of Love book.

    Tempest’s Course

If they are written as well as Jodie Bailey’s, it will be fun to read most any of these. Thanks. ~ linda

  22. I ABSOLUTELY want to read all of the quilts of Love books. I love the idea of faithfullness interwoven into a story of a quilt. This series if one of my all time favorite and I really, really would love to read them all. Unfortunatelly my local library only has 2 books in the series. Thank you for the opportunity !

  23. Wow! They all sound so inviting. I believe my top selections would be:

  25. ‘m not familiar with these books at all! Where have I been???? I do most of my reading now on Kindle, but I would really love to read the entire series. I’m one of those people who, when they find a good author, want to read every single book they wrote. How exciting it would be to have the entire collection to start with #1 and go all the way through!!!! Seventh heaven!
