(The Healing Touch #2)
Dr. Grant Sheldon's move to Dogwood Springs wasn't the panacea he'd hoped for when he brought his children here, but with Christmas approaching and the chance of a new and lasting love hovering just beyond reach, he perseveres.
In addition to taking on more shifts in the ER, Lauren McCaffrey agrees to stay with Grant Sheldon's twin teenagers when he is forced to fight a frivolous lawsuit from his former life. She soon discovers that keeping track of two headstrong sixteen-year-olds carries some unexpected dangers as well as some overwhelming blessings.
After the hospital administrator falls ill, the ER is left under the questionable leadership of an unhappy doctor with his own private agenda and a painful personal life. In the midst of the turmoil both Grant and Lauren are forced to come to terms with the pain of loss. Can they also find the joy of hope renewed?
Necessary Measures combines the breath-catching pace of authentic emergency medicine with the comfort of small-town faith and values.
Praise for Hannah Alexander
"Hannah Alexander blends fast-paced emergency room drama with a colorful cast of characters to keep you on the edge of your seat. I wish I'd discovered this author sooner!" Terri Blackstock, author of the Moonlighters series and the Intervention series.
If you enjoy ER dramas and small town settings, then you'll probably enjoy this series. I was drawn into this story from the start and enjoyed the twists and turns in the lives of the ER staff, and also the wider community. There are a few ends that still need tying up, so I'm looking forward to getting Urgent Care - #3 in the Healing Touch Series & seeing what happens next!
This story does continue on from #1 Second Opinion and contains a lot of background information for this story, so you are probably going to want to read that first.
